My works involve the psychological experience of recognizing freedom. I explore the stages of achieving an uninhibited state of comfort and ease. I ask the viewer what the perception of confidence, beauty, sexuality, vulnerability and magnetism is. I use unconventional scale and proportion to extract the viewer from a known reality, by heightening the humorous effect, we underscore the uncomfortable learned prescribed ideals of proper. As a former fashion designer and lover of style, nudes appeal to me most as subject matter since there is no duping of the mind or masking of the soul when completely bare.
